We have received a few questions regarding the toxicity of our plants and we just wanted to post this really helpful information for your convenience.

While HortyGirl products are sustainable and good for your own environment, not all of them are PET-FRIENDLY..please see the information below for more detailed information, found from the ASPA website.  If you notice any of these symptoms, contact your veterinarian immediately.  You can also contact the ASPCA 24-hour emergency poison hotline at 1-888-426-4435.

Pet Friendly

Zebra Hawarthia are super pet friendly and a snap to take care of. It is safe for both dogs and cats.

Neanthe bella Tropical Palms are super pet friendly and require a little extra care and attention.  Safe for both dogs and cats.

Ponytail palms are super pet friendly and act similar to succulents where they retain water.  Safe for dogs, cats and even horses.

Jade is not pet friendly! Will cause vomiting, depression, a lack of coordination or increased clumsiness and (very rarely) a slow heart beat if ingested

Sansevieria is not pet friendly! Will cause nausea, vomitting and diarrhea if ingested.
